Miami Creek Trails

Miami Motorcycle Trails consist of 60 miles of year round roads and trails for dirt bikes and ATV's on the Sierra National Forest. The area offers trails in the low to moderate difficulty range, and a few short sections with high difficulty range. All trails have a maximum vehicle width of 40 inches. All trails are open to 2-way traffic and are also used by hikers and horseback riders. (how else do ya ride a horse?)

Fresno to Miami CreekHow to get there: Within an hour drive from Fresno north on Hwy 41, are two staging areas: Kamook and Lone Sequoia. Kamook Staging area is located 6 miles north of Oakhurst just 3/4 of a mile off of the 41 (look for the 4000ft elevation sign on the right, the entrance will be on your left just a little ahead.). Lone Sequoia is 8 miles north of Oakhurst and 1 1/4 miles off of the 41.
Another ride option is to park at the 4000' turnout, then ride north on the Lewis Creek Trail. You then take a right and go through Sugar Pine, taking the turn and riding past Camp Sugar Pine. ride the fire road, bearing to the left. You'll cross the Yosemite Sugar Pine Railroad tracks, and then come to Highway 41, just below the upper entrance to Miami Creek Motorcycle Trails. You can then ride the Powerline trail back down to the lower entrance road.
Vegetation in the area is predominately mixed pine forest with some areas of dense brush. Rainfall varies between 50 and 60 inches per year with the wettest season occurring generally between October and April.

Improper use of Off-Highway Vehicles damage resources on these public lands. Preserve your riding privilege. The OHV rider/driver must assume responsibility for proper vehicle use. Sanitation facilities are available.

RIDING CONDITIONS: Trails, roads. Marked trails mostly.
ALTITUDE: 3600ft to 4800ft.
RIDING SEASON: Open all year.
OPTIMAL CONDITION: First fall rain until it gets dusty in the spring)
